The Team
Born and raised on the farm, the three quickly fell in love with the way of life. JC, Mary, and Travis all did 4-H together growing up. This gave them a new outlook and business understanding of the farm.
JC Trossbach
CO-FOUNDER
JC, the oldest of the team, is a fireman on Patuxent River Naval Base. Being the oldest, JC spent many days with our grandfather learning the trade of growing and harvesting the crops.
His spare time is spent with his family, working on the farm, and transporting meat to several locations.
Mary Trossbach
CO-FOUNDER
Mary has recently graduated from college and obtained a government position only seven minutes away from the home farm. Assisting where needed, Mary enjoys working with the cattle and showing her sons (Hayden and Hudson) the way of life.
Mary is the head POC and market researcher for Trossbach Family Meats. She is seen weekly at the markets, and can be reached on the business phone, email, Facebook and website.
Travis Trossbach
CO-FOUNDER
Travis, graduate of Salisbury University (B.S - Business Management 2020), currently is a fireman in Washington, DC. Travis strives to help with all aspects of business, along with helping to ensure clients find exactly what they need.
When Travis is home, he is a huge part of the hog operation, which he plans to take over in years to come. Among many other tasks, Travis helps with operating machinery, maintenance, and harvesting.
Southern Maryland Meats
As a part of the Southern Maryland Meats, Trossbach Family Meats is featured in the "Taking Stock" book that came out in 2018. This was a huge honor, not only to be in the book, but also on the front cover.
